India’s Hidden History: A, B, C, D States Before 1956 🇮🇳

‎Before 1956, the India we know today looked very different.

‎After independence, the nation was administratively divided into Part A, Part B, Part C, and Part D states — not by language or culture, but by governance structure.

‎🔴 Part A: Former British provinces

‎🟢 Part B: Princely states and unions

‎🔵 Part C: Centrally administered territories

‎⚫ Part D: Only one – the Andaman & Nicobar Islands

‎It was only after the sacrifice of Potti Sriramulu and the States Reorganisation Act of 1956 that India saw its states shaped on linguistic and cultural lines — and finally got the names we now proudly use.

‎This short video visually captures a forgotten chapter in India’s nation-building journey.

‎🎥 Watch, learn, and explore the untold history of Indian statehood.
