An internationally known actress Lupita Nyong’o was born in 1983, in Mexico but grew up in Kenya, where her parents are from. Then she moved to the US to study acting in Yale. In parallel with studies, she used to work in theatrical performances as well as a production assistant. She debuted on a big screen in a movie 12 Years of Slave, where she had a main role that got her an Oscar.
In 2014, Lupita was included in the list of the most beautiful women according to the People magazine. A year later she debuted on a stage with a play Eclipsed that brought her a nomination for Tony Award for the best female role. In 2017, she featured in Star Wars.

The mother Dorothy is not only a mom to six children but also an owner of a communication company and a director of a Cancer Foundation in Africa. She is very supportive and even appears with a famed daughter at different events.

Zawadi was delivered in 1980 and is the oldest child in a family. There is no information about her personal life but it is known that she is a CEO at 7th Sense Communications, which is a PR digital media company. Apart from that she is an author of a book that tells about sex workers from Africa.

Esperanza and Fiona are the twin sisters. Esperanza is married to an IT specialist and works at Icon Sports Marketing that is in Tanzania. As for Fiona, nothing is known about her either occupation or personal life.

Peter is one of the two brothers, who is also an actor. Additionally to acting career, he is also a model, a musician and a DJ. Peter and Lupita share a tight bond and are very supportive of each other. Also, they often share pictures on social media.

Coming closer to Nyong’o personal life, it is no secret that she has never been married but dated a couple of well-known people. In 2012 she was in relationship with an actor Chiwetel Ejiofor.
