MINNIE DLAMINI TO BECOME SOUTH AFRICA’S FIRST FEMALE PRESIDENT.
South African politician and leader of the UDM, Bantu Holomisa, has thrown a name in the hat for the presidential elections in 2019: Minnie Dlamini. There are just under two years until the upcoming elections, and South Africans are already considering who to vote for. While most people think that Mmusi Maimane, Julius Malema, Cyril Ramaphosa and Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma would be the main candidates, Holomisa thinks we should consider Minnie Dlamini for the #1 seat. Holomisa made the suggestion on social media where he congratulated Minnie on reaching two million Twitter followers. “Congrats for reaching 2million followers mark. Run for presidency Mhlobo,” he suggested. Minnie didn’t exactly say ‘no’, but it doesnt sound like she has 2019 in mind for her electoral campaign.
“It’s the plan General! One day is one day ,” she replied. Holomisa continued by suggesting that the time had come for South Africa to have its first female president. “Time is now for a woman President in SA. Ur advantage is that u don’t have a political baggage,” he tweeted. Although some people were ready to entertain the idea, the rest of Mzansi Twitter needed a bit of convincing. If Minnie Dlamini does run for presidency, we already have the perfect name for the reality show that would accompany her campaign: Becoming President Jones.
