"North & South" - All West Point Scenes - 1985 TV Mini-Series

All of the 1840s West Point scenes starring Patrick Swayze as hero ‘Orry Main’ and James Reed as ‘George Hazard’ - as portrayed in the original six-part Mini-Series "North & South" (Book 1) which aired on ABC in November 1985. The basic premise of the original novel and this mini-series: Two friends, one northern and one southern, struggle to maintain their friendship as events build towards the American Civil War.

I remember watching this live when it first aired (and I first started my interest in Re-enacting) and of course “Book II” which aired the following year. I grew up watching the VHS of this movie over and over again - recorded during the original broadcast by my Dad - and I wore out the tape (which I still have). This program still triggers allot of memories. Enjoy.
