First testing to get the HELO off the ground - Successful ! Now I just have to get ME off the ground ! This initial test provided encouraging results. PLEASE READ !! - This video is getting 5-10 comments a month on the center of gravity, rear leg too far back, back leg needs centered under props, etc.... THE REAR LEG ON THIS MACHINE IS ON A PENDULUM. Once off the ground, the leg DOES swing under to COG. It has already been hang tested with full weight and is balanced. This is a Schoffmann design, operates exactly as his. The leg as seen here is in the "landed" position for stability ONLY! Other than the wind on this day, the craft picks straight up and was managed a lot easier than I thought (regardless of my reactive posture you see me standing in).
