Supreme Court Ends TPS For Over 500,000 Venezuelan, Haitian, Cuban, and Nicaraguan Immigrants
Over 500,000 immigrants from Venezuela, Haiti, Cuba, and Nicaragua just lost their legal status in the U.S. following a Supreme Court ruling that sided with the Trump administration’s move to terminate Temporary Protected Status (TPS).
The Department of Homeland Security is calling it a win for national security, but immigrant advocates say it’s a humanitarian crisis in the making. Many of these immigrants had lived and worked legally in the U.S. for years. Now, they face deportation and must explore uncertain asylum routes.
What do you think about this? Is this at America’s best interest or will this expose families seeking refuge to danger?
