Upper Trapezius Dry Needling Twitch | Trapezius Pain Relief!

Watch the upper trapezius dry needling twitch as I treat a patient with upper back, neck, and shoulder pain. You can see the upper trapezius muscle twitch when I needle the affected trigger point, this is called an LTR (Local Twitch Response.) It's a unique sign of a trigger point and is a common physiological response to dry needling a trigger point. LTR isn't the response every time and sometimes you may feel simply a dull and achy type of sensation.

Wondering if you have an upper trapezius trigger point? Putting some pressure in your upper trapezius with your fingers will sometimes elicit an LTR. You'll also have tightness, tension, and sensitivity in this area as well.
