Trace Engineering Inverter / Charger model SW4024 test
This machine has been dormant for a long time, it's original battery bank long since junked. Before I apply power to it from an (virtually) infinite source, I wanted to be certain it hadn't developed any faults, what with temperature swings and condensation.
Four old 9 volt batteries, removed from smoke alarms, were connected in series and connected to the machine. The controls powered up, and the machine was able to run for a second or two before the internal capacitor bank was depleted, thus proving that there are indeed no faults.
