Praia do Forte - Brazil

Praia do Forte is located about 90 km north of Salvador da Bahia. It is a not too big resort with beautiful palm beaches. Here you can relax and try the many specialties in the pedestrian zone.

In the village is the turtle station Tamar. Here you can learn about the different types of sea turtles and the pools are full of small and large turtles.

The Parque Municipal Klaus Peters is located on the lagoon near the center of the city. The park is not very busy and you can watch a variety of animal species.

Outside of Praia do Forte is the ruin of the Castelo Garcia D'Ávila from 1549. The best approach is with a Tuc Tuc on the bumpy route. The Castelo is above the city on a hill. There you can enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and the beautiful view of Praia do Forte and the sea.
