I tried to make a PINTEREST MINIMALIST CAKE - Korean lunch box cake recipe

I tried to make Pinterest minimalist cakes this week. I watched a few tutorials of these mini Korean lunch box cake and they looked so cute so I had to try it for myself. These cakes are so miniature and they were so much fun to decorate I definitely recommend giving it a try for yourself. Enjoy!

Recipes:

Yellow Cake Recipe (this is half of the original recipe):
1 ½ cups cake flour (180g)
1 tsp baking powder (4g)
¾ tsp salt (2.5g)
¼ tsp baking soda
1 stick unsalted butter, room temp (113g)
¾ + ⅛ cup granulated sugar (175g)
⅛ cup neutral oil (28g)
2.5 egg yolks (2 large or 3 small yolks) (40g)
1 egg (50g)
½ tablespoon vanilla extract
½ buttermilk (120g), room temp

Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 stick unsalted butter (113g)
½ pound cream cheese (works best with Philadelphia) (227g)
A large pinch of salt
½ pound powdered sugar (227g)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Food Colouring for icing (I used the wilton brand):
Cornflower Blue
Buttercup Yellow
Purple
Pink
