The Rolex Middle Sea Race brings the Mediterranean yachting season to a spectacular close. An international fleet of 100-plus yachts follows a circular course around Sicily, encountering active volcanoes, rugged islands and a variety of wildlife, before uniquely finishing where it starts: in Malta’s capital of Valletta. Maltese yacht Elusive 2 overcame typically challenging weather conditions in 2019 to take overall honours in the 40th edition.
