Polish Your Thanksgiving - Cook-along
Join us again for a LIVE cook-along and learn to make a few dishes that will compliment your Thanksgiving dinner.
Here is how to prepare:
1. Cabbage with mushrooms - recipe on page 179 or link to recipe: https://www.polishyourkitchen.com/cabbage-with-mushrooms-kapusta-z-grzybami/
- Place dried mushrooms in a small pot, add enough boiling water to cover, set aside until mushrooms rehydrate a bit (about 10-15 minutes).
- Shred cabbage and cut into smaller pieces.
- Clean and slice button mushrooms.
- After dried mushrooms rehydrate, boil for about 10 minutes on low (check if they're soft; if not, boil for a bit longer. Add more water if needed).
- Prepare and measure out the rest of the ingredients and equipment needed.
2. Pumpkin potato dumplings - recipe here: https://www.polishyourkitchen.com/pumpkin-potato-dumplings-kopytka-dyniowe/
- Boil and cool potatoes.
- Prepare and measure out the rest of the ingredients and equipment needed.
3. Fried (creamed) beets - recipe on page 185 or link to recipe here: https://www.polishyourkitchen.com/polish-fried-beets-buraczki-zasmazane/
- Wash beets and roast in the oven (covered) for about 1 hour (until soft) at 350F. Remove from oven and cool.
- Peel and grate on the smallest vegetable grater.
- Prepare and measure out the rest of the ingredients and equipment needed.
Equipment needed:
- a large sautéing pan
- a medium sautéing pan
- a cutting board
- clean surface for rolling
- a large soup pot
- a spatula
- a sharp knife
