I have listed the ingredients below due to the high demand in making it. You now know exactly what I did to create this great tasting Lemon Pound Cake .
Ingredients:
3 CUPS OF SUGAR
3 CUPS OF CAKE FLOUR (SWANS DOWN ) IS WHAT I USED
3 SITCKS OF LAND O LAKE BUTTER ( I USED SALTED ) YOUR PREFERENCE
1 8OZ PKG OF PHILADELPHIA CREAM CHEESE
6 EGGS
1 WHOLE LEMON ZEST
4 TSP OF LEMON JUICE ( SQUEEZE FROM A FRESH LEMON)
1 TSP OF VANILLA FLAVOR
1 TSP OF ALMOND EXTRACT
1TSP OF LEMON EXTRACT
I ADD THE PHILADELPHIA CREAM CHEESE AND AND BUTTER MIX REALLY WELL UNTIL YOU HAVE A CREAMY TEXTURE, I THEN ADD THE SUGAR A CUP AT A TIME WHILE IT'S MIXING, ( I MIX ON HIGH START OFF SLOW AND INCREASE THE SPEED AS IT MIX TOGETHER) . I THEN ADD THE CAKE FLOUR 1 CUP AT A TIME ( ON SLOW MIX SPEED GRADUALLY INCREASING YOUR SPEED) THEN I ADD THE EGGS ONE AT A TIME ( IF NORE THAN ONE FALL IN IT'S OK) YOU JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THE EGGS ARE MIX WELL INTO THE BATTER. I THEN ADD THE LEMON ZEST, YOU CAN ADD MORE LEMON ZEST TOTALLY UP TO YOU I LOVE MORE. THEN I ADD THE LEMON JUICE, MIX WELL, ADD VANILLA FLAVOR MIX WELL, ALMOND EXTRACT MIX WELL, AND LAST THE LEMON EXTRACT, MIX WELL ON HIGH. ONCE EVERYTHING IS INCORPORATED TOGETHER.
GET YOUR BUNDT PAN SPRAY REALLY WELL WITH YOUR PAM CAKE SPRAY AND ADD YOUR BATTER AND COOK AT 325 DEGREES FOR AN HOUR AND 15 MINUTES.
ICING :
LEMON GLAZE
1 1/2 CUP OF CONFECTIONERS SUGAR (Make sure you add the confectioners sugar in a sifter so you don't have any lumps of the sugar)
2 TO 3 TSP LEMON JUICE
1 LEMON ZEST
2 TBS BUTTER
1 TSP VANILLA EXTRACT
IN A BOWL ADD THE CONFECTIONERS SUGAR, AND BUTTER ( MELTED BUTTER) MIX WELL THEN ADD LEMON JUICE, , ADD THE LEMON ZEST, MIX WELL THEN ADD THE VANILLA EXTRACT, ONCE ALL MIX TOGTER YOU CAN ICE YOUR ICING AS YOU WISH.
