When it comes time to introduce a pet dog into the family, many people decide to adopt a rescue. While rescue animals might have their quirks, very often, it’s those eccentricities that make them so darn special.

When California residents Dan and Vivian Clarke decided to adopt a rescue dog, everyone told them not to do it. Even the rescue facility said that this rescue pup, a three-year-old Bernese mountain dog, was tough to deal with and impossible to train.

Still, they couldn’t shake the feeling that they were meant to adopt this dog. Once they brought him home, however, they couldn’t believe what he really capable of doing…
