FARMHOUSE DIY CHALLENGE - EASY Way to Create a DIY French Country Drawer Decor Piece (119)

My farmhouse DIY project is a vintage inspired drawer I easily construct using 6 pieces of scrap wood I had on hand. I attach the wood pieces together using wood glue so no screws or nails needed for this project. I spray the assembled drawer using spray paint, then distress with sand paper. I show a technique on how to add more distressing by using a brown sharpie. This technique adds another depth of color and real looking distressed features with just light strokes from the sharpie. Very easy and forgiving technique if you were to mess up! I add hardware that I had on hand and attach 4 finial feet. I attach the feet and hardware with hot glue so I can easily detach if I desire but for a more secure bond I recommend using E6000 or another good adhering glue. I constructed this vintage inspired drawer for a very low cost since I used scrap wood, hardware and paint I had on hand. I stage the drawer to show how it can serve as a beautiful decor piece that can showcase so many items and collectibles. I show how you can also use scrapbook paper to line the bottom to add more detail to match your decor theme.
