Bitola Film City, carries with it a strong story of a magical film history and of present times of the city Bitola as a cultural, industrial, commercial and educational center which in the past twenty years intensively has become a center of the Macedonian and regional cinema.

Each year various national and foreign production companies are shooting their films in the city or its surroundings. The diversity of locations, the favorable infrastructure conditions are the main reasons why many filmmakers chose this city for their films and TV series. The city life pulses through the recognizable “Shirok Sokak” (Main Street), through the Old Bazaar to the beautiful and mysterious landscapes that extend in the surrounding area. The unique old and newer architecture, natural beauties that surround the city, and hospitality of the local residents is what makes Bitola unforgettable in the memories of the people who visited the city.

The film shows the wealth of the priceless material and spiritual culture created through the centuries of known and unknown masters, the size and strong attraction of the city which each year during the festival "ManakiBrothers" is a meeting place of the best actors, directors of photography ... from all over the world, thus discovering many new talents who today a respected as top artists of film photography, adorned with awards of the festival "Manaki Brothers" and at the same time eternalized also with the glory of the Academy Award winners who over the years were guests in Bitola.

Since the time when the works of the first Balkan cameramen were seen by the audience to our days, Bitola has continued to retell many stories, preserved in the architecture, the richness of cinematic spaces, brought to life through a number of scenarios, cultural summers, film festivals ...
