Swing Republic - Musicians (Lyrics Video)

SWING REPUBLIC began life as the side project of a platinum selling Danish songwriter and producer, Per Ebdrup. In love with the sound of swing, Per remixed old and obscure vintage gems in his spare time. These would eventually become the pioneering album 'Electro Swing Republic' (2011) - one of the first complete electro swing albums ever released. The second album 'Midnight Calling' (2013) saw a more song based approach and the introduction of vocalist Karina Kappel. Their swing cover of Crazy In Love featured on this album and proved hugely influential, becoming something of an anthem and inspiring many copies.

'The return of Electro Swing Republic' EP (2014) and the 3rd album 'Mo Electro Swing Republic - Let's Misbehave' (2015) followed, blending the sounds and style of the first 2 albums with classic jazz performances from the likes of Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington and Bessie Smith.

The latest 'Musicians EP' above features 4 brand new songs and is the first introduction to the bands 4th full-length album. Vocal duties are once again carried out by Karina Kappel. The EP as a whole picks up the more song-based sound of 'Midnight Calling' with injections of pop and soul along with Per Ebdrup's genre-defining production. The cinematic sound of previous releases hasn't been lost, but an influence from other styles of music is also apparent.
