The Snively Expedition - The Time U.S. Dragoons Disarmed Texan Soldiers

The Snively Expedition is an interesting story. After the Mexican invasions of 1842 and the Mier, and Santa Fe expeditions, a man by the name of Jacob snively petitioned the government of the Republic of Texas to lead an expedition to the Santa Fe trail for retaliation, were they would capture supplies from Mexican traders and and assert Texas claims over northern texas and the Santa fe trail. but they didn't know that they were in American territory.
