Ep 74: "My Wild Deer Friends!" May-June 2023

It is so nice being done with the cold weather and heading full steam into our summer here. I got to observe the pregnant does tummies balloon up quickly in early May, then to watch them show up all skinny after having their new fawns! The moms keep the new fawns hidden for 3 to 6 weeks normally, so I look for Mid-July into August for most of them to start bringing the little ones into the yard. But......I have gotten some sneak peaks! :-)))

These are all very wild deer that have come to trust me in a very unique way. They run if anyone comes walking down the road or tries to come into my yard. They stop in for a quick snack, then head back out into the wild to live their normal lives.
