Partial Straight Pool Match TK did not understand the scoring app, did not like being down 52-28, and decided to accuse me of cheating him out of 2 balls. Said he had 27 and just made 3 or 4 and the scoring app says 28. Well, he forgot the foul when he kicked and missed the ball in the pocket, bringing him to 26. He made two balls to close out the rack, bringing him to 28. Then he made one ball in the next rack and played safe. The ball in the next rack gets added at the end of the rack, so the score on the app was 100% correct. Tom is used to that concept having played straight pool many years. He just needed to do something to change the way the game was going. Typical Tom Karabatsos move.
It worked. I forfeited rather than spending any more time with TK. I expected him to come back and win, because he is very good, but I did not want to put up with his moves.I would have liked to continue because I was shooting the ball ok for me, and that is all I am really interested in. I set up the league in such a way that the top guys like Tom and Hunter have a chance to make money, and the rest of us just play. I've also helped round up money for TK to go to World Championships and out to Maryland, but that is all for naught, when Tommy sees a chance to muck things up, he can't control himself.
