Elephant baby boom in Kenya's national parks | ITV News
Whisper it quietly but in the grasslands of Kenya's national parks, something good, at last, is happening to the elephant population.
There's a baby boom. Kenya has twice as many elephants now as it did thirty years ago, though the figure - 35,000 - is still just a fraction of what it once was.
In one particular park, Amboseli, they've had a record number of calves 205 - with the biggest birth month - December still to come.
The reason? Plenty of rain which means plenty of grass, so more of the calves survive.
