During a harsh Sacramento winter, Shannon Loveless and her three children huddle in an aged van behind a Walmart store. The van has been their home for the past four months. This was one of life’s cruel twists – from a comfortable home and a secure teaching job to homelessness in a matter of months. Shannon has all but lost her ability to trust, and is alarmed to see the approaching headlights. Then she hears footsteps making their way to the van. When Shannon peers through the window in the back, she spots two uniformed officers and immediately fears the worst. But what happens next will blow your hair back!
