COMMENTARY:

An attempt to convert a flat 3D video into one that would appear as if viewed on a big theatre screen in VR headsets.

Due to the low resolution, the video is fairly bad quality. A higher quality video would require AT LEAST 2560x1440, and preferably 4K (3840x2160). This attempt was more a proof-of-concept than anything else.

NOTE: Now that the Littlstar app for PSVR has been updated to play 3D Fixed Frame (flat 3D) videos (in addition to the existence of similar players for other VR headsets), there is no need to convert videos like the above to the equirectangular format. You can just watch flat 3D videos directly in the Littlstar app on PSVR, provided you follow the naming conventions and sideloading steps here: http://docs.littlstar.com/display/CG/PlayStation+VR+Video+Sideloading
