Microsoft Surface Book: Playing Fallout 4

So Fallout 4 came out this week, and I've been anxiously waiting for it to come out. How fortuitous it came out around the time I picked up my Surface Book, so obviously I had to try it out on the new device.

First thing's first... The drivers. There is no new driver from NVidia for this game, unlike my Asus gaming laptop, it got two driver updates this week, one for Black Ops 3 and the other for Fallout 4. The game seems to run ok, but the screen resolution was an issue. To get the game to recognize a playable resolution I had to manually reduce the resolution from the default 3000x2000 to 1920 x 1200. The game then was able to get it to 1280x800 and 1920x1080 properly. It's interesting to note that the game scales to fit the entire display; no black bars, but the image can be a little stretched.
Gameplay was ok, on a combo of low/medium settings. Framerates were about 30-40 fps.
I don't get too far into the game, I'm still in the early stages, so no spoilers are present.
