Abandoned in Chernobyl — Building a BRDM-2 (1/35 Trumpeter)

BRDM-2 1/35 scale model build from Trumpeter (05512), building an abandoned vehicle in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, decades after the 1986 disaster.

In 1986, dozens of military vehicles were left behind in Chernobyl. This project recreates one of them as a scale model diorama.

In Part 1 of this 4-part series, I return to an older BRDM-2 build and focus on adding details — including scratchbuilt improvements.

This is the beginning of a full Chernobyl diorama project featuring an abandoned vehicle, decayed environment, and heavy weathering.

This is my first attempt at voiceover, video editing, and filming while modeling — so this is how it also looks and sounds :-D. I’m learning as I go and trying to improve with every video, so I hope the next part will be better.
