How to replace heating element in Whirlpool electric dryer - dryer not heating

In this video, I replace the heating element and thermostat on a Whirlpool Imperial Series electric clothes dryer (Model LEN2000PW0). The process will be similar on comparable models from other brands.

Help! My electric clothes dryer has no heat!

Don’t be afraid to attempt DIY repairs on your electric dryer. If your dryer is not heating, it is likely the heating element. A new dryer heating element can be purchased for $15 - $50 dollars and in most cases only requires removing a few screws and reconnecting a couple wires. It’s and easy DIY project.
