THE BEST WILDLIFE IN ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK is on the WEST SIDE

The best wildlife in Rocky Mountain National Park is on the West Side. We take you with us to the West Side of Rocky Mountain National Park where we hike and explore the "west is the best" side of this great park. We encounter Elk in large herds up close, a moose on a drive in the rain. We hike several trails and get some nice quiet time in the woods and find a few nice waterfalls. Hike to lake Irene for breathtaking views. And venture above the tree line to the alpine tundra, where we hike the Alpine Ridge Trail and the Tundra Community Trail as well. We explore the Grand Lake Lodge and take in the views of the lake from this hill side wonder. Spend some time camping along the shore in Green Ridge campground. This was truly an amazing experience topped off by our "scary but exciting" drive over the 48 miles of Trail Ridge Road with our Tab in tow when we head to the East Side so come along for the ride!
