Also, aren't you usually excited when you are expecting a package?

Perhaps it contains a new phone? A laptop? Some prized jewelry?

Whatever it is, you wouldn't want to lose it to anyone. Or anything.

Have you ever lost a package? Have you ever had to come home to see your front porch empty, yet you just confirmed there was a delivery from the delivery company?

I know it can be hard. And of course, your money went into it!

Nobody wants to lose money after ordering a package. We put in a lot of work to get that money, which was used to get that package.

You are bound to be sad, depressed, or angry whenever this happens. But what can really be done about it?

Sadly, the companies do not replace stolen items as long as they have been marked as delivered.

You are left to bear the loss alone. So what do you do when you live in a house where your only option is to have packages be dropped at your front door every time you have a delivery?

Does this mean you have to stop ordering from the internet altogether? That would be almost impossible.

However, if you have ever been a victim of package theft, then this video is just the right one for you!

A certain man had to deal with a persistent package thief for a long time.

Imagine meeting an empty front porch every time a package is supposed to be there.

This persistent thief not only steals the package of this man, but that of his neighbors also!

Isn't that bold?!

The man was tired of these constant package disappearances. In fact, this regular occurrence had started to really impact his personal life in a negative way.

He is losing money, time, and patience.

The man and his neighbors instinctively became wary of online orders, all due to the package thief.

Tom Mabe, who ended up being our superhero in this story, decided he had enough one day. He decided to draw up a plan with his neighbor to catch this thief.

Why not come up with a creative way to catch a thief who wouldn't stop?

What was their big plan?

They built a decoy box. A decoy box that looked exactly like a regular old package.

Only, it is not a package. It is rigged with something you wouldn't believe!

Bob, the other neighbor, decided to set up a camera on Tom's front porch, and anticipate the coming of the package thief. Their decoy package was going to be placed on Tom's porch, Bob was on camera duty.

After a short while, the theif ended up making an appearance, driving around in his car. His eyes had a bright sparkle in them, as he scanned around the block checking if it was safe for him to carry out his operation.

He jumped out of his car, and walked briskly towards his target.

The eyes of Tom and Bob widended with excitement. This was the moment they had been waiting for.

He was set for Tom's house and he rand towards the package on his porch. All he wanted was the package.

But he sure was going to get a lot more than that.

The decoy box was designed with a 40-second timer. This meant that the moment it moved, the box would explode. Not bombs. It would explode into a sticky and horribly smelling mess.

You may have guessed that right! Tom Mabe and neighbor Bob designed a world-class poop bomb!

The unsuspecting thief happily picked up the package and rushed to his car. He had no idea what was about to hit him.

After only a few minutes down the block, the victims watched him jump out of the car. Disgusted, smelly, and angy.

He stood awestruck, unable to say anything.

The neighbors, including Tom and Bob all shared a good laugh. What's better than seeing your neighborhood package thief fall victim to a rancide smelling poop bomb?

While some might think of it as a bit too extreme, it sure did exactly what Tom and Bob hoped it would. In fact, you and I know the thief isn't ever going to come for more packages in that neighborhood ever again!

Because he'll never know if another decoy poop box is waiting for him in the form of a generic package.

Perhaps thieves in other areas, will also think twice before taking that package that isn't theirs, for fear of themselves falling victim to a poop box of some sort.
