Marlene Dietrich was born on 27 December 1901 – 6 May 1992. She was a German-American actress and singer. Throughout her long career, which spanned from the 1910s to the 1980s, she continually reinvented herself.

Marlene Dietrich wore Coty. Her estate was at an auction and available for viewing online. Marlene owned the Sleigh Bells compact by Coty from the early 1940s. This gold-tone brass compact that features six bells attached to a scalloped edge. The compact was designed for the cosmetics giant by Arthur R. Botham, with a patented element by William Shoemaker. This is among the last metal compacts Coty made before metal rationing during WWII. It was sold for $2,289 at auction.

In 1933, Jacques Guerlain achieved an exceptional creation: Vol de Nuit. Inspired by the novel by his friend Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Vol de Nuit is dedicated to adventurous women. Like the famous aviator of the era, Hélène Boucher, who nourished their passion for risk-taking and knew how to claim their place in a man's world without losing their femininity.

It is a cocktail of blended flowers at its heart is like fireworks, where daffodil, violet, carnation, jasmine, and rose.

Dietrich was notorious for going to beauty extremes. She famously removed her back molars to hollow out her cheeks. She would also pull her hairline back with thread—to the point of bleeding—to get an instant facelift.

Her favorite beauty hack was to leave a half-moon on her nails unpainted. This way, a grown-out manicure would be less noticeable.
It's still one of our favorite methods for spacing out nail appointments.

Lux Soap :

Many vintage advertisements are featuring Marlene using Lux soap. The Lever Brothers founded lux in 1899. The name changed from "Sunlight Flakes" to "Lux" in 1900, a Latin word for "light" and suggestive of "luxury.” Lux toilet soap was launched in the United States in 1925 and the United Kingdom in 1928.

Woodbury Soap Company:

Marlene was the spokesmodel for Woodbury Soap Company and was featured in many different vintage advertisements. The Woodbury Soap Company is an American manufacturer of personal care products such as cold cream, facial cream, facial powder, after-shave talc, and ear swabs. Founded in Albany, New York, in 1870, the company was a sponsor to popular radio programs in the 1930s and 1940s.
