World Bank: Worldwide GDP could grow by 20% if women were fully included in the workforce | DW News

The World Bank says women have the power to turbocharge the global economy. Worldwide GDP could grow by 20 percent, it says, if women were fully included in the workforce. But now a new report shows that the gender gap is wider than previously thought. Laws and lack of enforcement tend to keep women on the sidelines. And yet progress is being made – in some surprising places. We ask the World Bank's Tea Trumbic for the details.
