Lars the Senior Horse Eating from a HayPlay Bag

This is Angie's "old man," Lars. Angie loves providing him with a variety of slow-feed options and delivery systems for his hay. It keeps his mind and body moving and occupied.

Back in October, Angie posted about the hay arrangements she makes for her horses: "I feed most of their hay in slow feeders to keep it clean, make it last longer, and provide enrichment. My favorites are portagrazers (not pictured), the hay pillow (in front) and the new GG Equine HayPlay Bag.

I've had (the HayPlay Bag) it about a month and it looks brand new. Easy to fill and hang, it doesn't slow them down as much, but that's OK. It keeps it clean and I don't mind some easier access for the old man."

It's been pretty incredible to see, since we launched the HayPlay line back in June 2023, how people have incorporated them into larger hay feeding systems in stalls, dry lots, and around the farm generally. Rather than use or depend on one bag, net, or other device alone, many horse owners are using the HayPlay Bags to complement and supplement any number of other slow-feed systems.
