Lure fishing for MASSIVE Chub and Trout

Out hunting for river monsters using lures. First day of the spinning season on my river and what a start! The rigged and ready UL fish rig 180 handled these big fish really well and ended up having a great day even though the river conditions weren't ideal for trout. Ended up hooking into what I presume to be a rare two tone chub, I've seen pike like this before but only on occasion and in photos. If anyone knows what makes these fish like that or if you've ever seen them before let me know I'd love some more information!
