Los Huesos Film Soundtrack MIX "The Bones"

Here is a cut from “Los Huesos" (The Bones), with music from the soundtrack I composed. The film, which won “Best Short” at Venice Film Festival, was created by Chilean directors Cristóbal León and Joaquín Cociña, who originally framed the film as archival footage which they had found from the early 1900’s. Although in many respects it's a jarring, brash, and darkly funny experience, there is a touching sweetness as well. I tried to capture that in the film’s music, in juxtaposition with some of the more jarring moments. The record static, which I originally sampled as background noise, began to take on its own life as the film evolves, hitting with some of the on-screen moments, and at times obscuring the music completely.
