Mallorca Building Collapse: Local Hero among those Killed in Tragedy

A desperate search for survivors was under way after a two-storey building in Mallorca collapsed, killing several people.

The roof of Medusa Beach Club, located on the popular Spanish tourist island, collapsed at 8:30pm on Thursday.

At least four people were killed and 16 others injured. Seven of the injured people are in critical condition. Nine others have serious injuries.

One of the victims was locally-famous Senegalese man, Abdoulaye Diop; who made the headlines after he rescued a man from drowning in Mallorca in 2017.
