🔥 Casting McDonald's Logo from BULLET SHELLS【3D Printed Mold】

Today I’m melting empty brass bullet shells/casings to pour in the red casting sand to make the McDonald’s logo. Normally you use a closed mold (bottom and top part) for casting, but this time an open mold looks cooler to see!

The downside is that it results in more sanding because than with a closed mold, but the result is great anyway :-)

The logo was printed on my 3D printer, so we are mising multiple techniques to get the best result.

I’m also using an oak board/plank which I made a groove for the led strip and filled up with epoxy that is not clear to disperse the light. After that, I topped it with 3mm of clear epoxy. After the epoxy hardened I sanded it down and gave it a polish.

Drilled some holes in both parts to mount using 8 mm stainless pins.
