Senator Oshiomhole did something commendable.

During the senate sitting, he asked that Nigeria's military spending be audited.
Not to att@ck.

Not to defund. Just to examine for accountability.

He reminded his colleagues that the Senate had previously directed military authorities to report back on accountability matters and that no report was ever submitted.

He made a reasonable request, a necessary one, but not a single senator rose to second it.

The motion died in silence. Their silence is very questionable.

This is the same Senate that approved ₦1.504 trillion for the Nigerian Army in 2026 without blinking.

They spend Nigeria's money. They do not check where it goes.

As Oshiomhole himself said: "People have turned our security into a business.

We should not monetise the d3ath of our people."

His colleagues' silence was the loudest answer.

You do not f£ar an audit unless you have something to hide.

Nigerians are being k¡dn@pped from their homes, schools, and farms every day.

Money was allocated to stop it, yet ins£curity keeps increasing. The money given to the military to stop it should be questioned?

We must ask: who is this Senate working for?

Because the silence at yesterday's sitting shows they are clearly not working for the Nigeria Citizens.

We demand accountability.
