In this Nature Junk Journal series, I explore different art techniques to create a space for me to record my experience during the three-month shut down in the States. In a sense, this is my quarantine junk journal.

I hope that the junk journal community can find inspiration from my tutorials. I also hope that junk journal beginners will find it as a resource. What it means to junk journal is different to every person, which is why I gravitated to this style of journaling. It combines the intimacy of free writing, the sentimentality of scrapbooking, and the infinite possibilities of art.

The ways to use a junk journal are so vast, which can be intimidating to junk journal newbies. So every week I will share the basics of how to make a junk journal by giving an easy tutorial on topics such as embellishments, ephemera, junk journal page ideas, and book binding techniques.
