00:24 - All Questions Relate to Your Travel
The Embassy is not going to ask you personal information that does not relate to your trip to Europe. This questions could be relevant to your personal proof, the travel itinerary and even your financial capacity to afford the travel.

02:00 - Q1 - Are You Travelling With Someone Else?
This is an easy question to answer but it does not always relate to you travelling with someone else for your whole trip but could also relate to you meeting someone over in Europe for a shorter period of time. Expect further questions like: "how do you know them?", "where are they going?", "is it for the entire trip?", etc

03:50 - Q2 - Can You Provide Your Bank Statements?
The Schengen Region gets a lot of travellers that go to Europe on a tourism Visa and they never return (eg, they start working there). You have no option but to provide you have the financial proof to fly back to your country of residence and that you can afford the trip to Europe. So, always provide your bank statements, payslips, etc and answer their questions about them.

05:29 - Q3 - Do You Have Job Leave Approval?
To most travellers, this does not sound important but to the Embassy it is because it shows you have a job in your current residing country that expects you to return back to. This means that the risk of you travelling overseas and not returning is extremely low because you have work to return to.

06:46 - Q4 - Do You Have Family Or Friends In The Schengen Region?
It is difficult for the Embassy to know if you have friends in the region but very easy for them to know if you have family, so be honest. Also, if you have family over there that you are visiting and looking to stay with, ensure you have included their 'Invitation Letter' within your application documents.

08:27 - Q5 - Do You Pay Income Tax?
Every single application ever provided for a Schengen Visa must include some form of Government validation for your income (whether it is yours or your sponsors). This helps provide the Embassy with evidence of your income and that you are a tax-paying citizen of the country you are a resident of.

Every Schengen Visa interview is different and so we cannot prepare you for all of the questions and answers that they might be able to ask. However, just by understanding the process and what they are looking for, it will prepare you the most for the interview.
