Phil Harris and His Orchestra - Let Me Come Over And See You Tonight

Phil Harris and His Orchestra play Basil "Buzz" Adlam's "Let Me Come Over And See You Tonight". Quite a nice arrangement, sounding a bit more standard dance band-y than many recordings by this band.

Phil Harris - vocals, directing: 3 trumpets/ George Plumstead and 2 others - trombones/ Basil "Buzz" Adlam - ?alto sax, arranger/ alto sax, baritone sax/ tenor sax/ Sid Lippman and 2-3 others - violins/ ?Jamie Erickson and another - pianos/ banjo/ string bass/ drums

Composer Adlam was born in Chelmsford, Essex, in 1912 but moved to America in the 20s, gaining citizenship in 1930. In addition to working with Harris, he also played with Horace Heidt and Ozzie Nelson, eventually becoming musical director at ABC in the 50s.

Recorded in the Freeman Lang Studios, Hollywood, during 1933
