Gough Custom. The File Jig

This is my 1st Bowie knife build. I used a 12in bar stock of 1095 High Carbon Steel.. 1/8 in thick and 1 1/2 in wide.
The Copper came from scrap that I melted into an ingot with the Smelting Furnace.
The Handle material is made from Brazilian Bloodwood.
I used epoxy to secure the handle. I shaved down the handle just enough to be able screw the pommel on straight and tight. The glue defiantly helps keep everything super tight. and secure.
