Murray Siple aka Walletmoth artist talk Salt Spring National Art Prize painting and creative process

Lots of viewers have asked me what I've been up to, what are my other projects, and for more info about me. This is a sample of my recent work as a painter. I plan to post more videos of what I do and new projects so please subscribe! This video is a bit shaky having been filmed by an amateur videographer however it does capture my presentation on my creative process and how I arrived at my painting "SalmonElla", a finalist for the Salt Spring National Art Prize. Many of my subscribers know me as a documentary filmmaker but over the last 4 years, I've mainly been a painter. I continue to be a filmmaker but painting helps me immediately express myself and have tangible artwork to share relatively quickly. I find filmmaking can take years to realize one concept to completion. I have more video projects coming and plan to do Carts of Darkness 2, but for now, I'll be posting short videos and making fine art at www.walletmoth.com
