Day 22 Recap – AI-Driven QA Automation Bootcamp at @cloudberry.services
💡 Key takeaway: Automated testing isn’t just about writing tests—it’s about making them reliable, traceable, and developer-friendly.
Today’s session was a deep dive into one of the most critical (and often overlooked) aspects of test automation: logging, debugging, and documentation.
🔍 We started with a live debugging demo—tracing a flaky Edge browser issue during a regression test. A simple Thread.sleep() did the trick, but the lesson? Small changes + clear logs = big wins in test stability.
🧾 From there, we explored why documentation is a tester's best friend—drawing inspiration from Amazon’s doc-first culture. Your logs, your reports, your write-ups? They speak louder than your code.
🛠️ We then added:
Log4j logging to our framework
Retry Analyzer to handle test flakiness
And yes, ChatGPT helped us automate all of it. From adding debug logs to try-catch blocks—logging just got smarter and faster.
✅ We wrapped up with a successful execution of all 6 test cases using our updated framework (Ninja V4) with detailed logs, screenshots, and retries enabled.
Next up: Selenium Grid 🚀
We’re going beyond the local machine to explore test execution across external nodes.
📌 Assignment: Redo today’s implementation with logging + retry logic and submit your work tomorrow.
