Memoreum VR on Quest 3 – The best sci-fi horror game of 2025?

I immersed myself in Memoreum VR on Meta Quest 3 – an intense sci-fi action horror game that is strongly reminiscent of Dead Space. In the role of Dr. Otto Hudson, I wake up from cryosleep in the year 2311 – only to discover that my spaceship has been infected by a dangerous “Ichor Infection” and the remaining crew members have mutated.

In my gameplay, I show:
gloomy corridors, flickering lights, and an oppressive atmosphere
action-packed battles against grotesque, infected enemies with a wide variety of weapons (SMG, rifle, shotgun, etc.)

tactical aiming thanks to visibly marked weak points (glowing “pustules”)
puzzles and exploration moments where you have to decipher switches, codes, and data logs
manual reloading in VR – for even more immersion
