Shocking allegations have emerged against former Los Angeles Lakers player and head coach Byron Scott. In a lawsuit filed by Hayley Dylan—amended on May 1, 2025—Scott is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl during the filming of a Lakers instructional video at Campbell Hall High School in Los Angeles back in 1987.

According to the court documents, the alleged assault occurred in a locked janitor’s closet, and Campbell Hall has also been named in the suit for negligence. The plaintiff is seeking over $25,000 in damages and has requested a jury trial under California’s extended statute of limitations law for child sexual assault cases.

Scott’s attorney admitted that sexual contact took place but argued that Scott believed the girl was over 18 at the time and only discovered her true age years later.
