The Osman Gazi suspension bridge is the jewel in the crown of the Gebze-Orhangazi-Ismir motorway. With a main span of 1,550m, it's the fourth-longest suspension bridge in the world, second in Europe, and the longest bridge in Turkey. Our timelapse video takes you from the creation of the caissons and sinking into the Izmit Bay, right through to the final section of road being locked into place.
