RTC Managing Director Nagarireddy has announced that Telangana will further expand the use of electric buses along with charging infrastructure at depots across the state.

He made the remarks while participating in the ASSOCHAM Telangana Clean Energy Summit 2026 held at a hotel in Begumpet. Discussions at the event focused on clean energy, e-mobility, and decarbonization strategies.

Nagarireddy stated that the organization is working towards achieving a 100% green public transport system in the Hyderabad Core Urban Region by 2028. He also highlighted ongoing initiatives to convert diesel buses into electric buses as part of the state’s sustainability efforts.
