100 ENGLISH Nouns - Some of the Most Common Words in English that Begin with the Letter 'G'

Vocabulary Notes:
Noun 15 "gasoline" - Many people commonly refer to gasoline by using its abbreviated for: "gas." This may be a bit confusing, however, since it is not a gas. Context is very important here.
Noun 16 "gate" - This word is also used to mean a door that is used to enter a fenced area, especially a yard.
Noun 19 "gel" - In fact, gel can be used for many different purposes, not just for styling your hair (for example, shower gel).
Noun 36 "glass" - "Glass" also means the material that such things as windows are made from.
Noun 38 "glider" - The kind of glider shown here is known as a "hang glider". Other kinds of gliders look more like airplanes.
Noun 41 "glue" - "Glue" can also be used as a verb. For example: "I glued the broken cup back together."

Noun 50 "goose" - The plural form of "goose" is "geese."
Noun 54 "gown" - This word is also often used when talking about weddings. For example: "She's wearing a beautiful wedding gown."
Noun 72 "gray" - The adjective form of this word is the same. For example: "I have a gray suitcase."
Noun 74 "green" - The adjective form of this word is the same. For example: "Mary drives a green car."
Noun 78 "grill" - The verb form of this word is the same. For example: "Let's grill some vegetables."
Noun 79 "grin" - The verb form of this word is the same. For example: "Why are you grinning?"
Noun 80 "grip" - The verb form of this word is the same. For example: "You should grip the baseball bat tightly when you swing."
