How To Fix Xbox One Black Screen

I’ve seen multiple videos but they weren’t working for me.
Please see the steps broken down below.
Step 3 is where I had issues and didn’t hear any beeps when I did it wrong. You don’t hold the sync and eject button at the same time. The sync button is on the side next to the USB port. The eject button is on the face of the Xbox next to the disc slot.
First press and hold sync and while holding, then hold eject.
Step 1: Hold Xbox button until it turns off
Step 2: Wait 5 to 10 seconds
Step 3: Turn Xbox back on and hold the sync and eject button until you hear 2 beeps.
Step 3a - Turn Xbox on by pressing the button on the console
Step 3b - FIRST Press & Hold Sync button,
Step 3c - Press & Hold Eject button.
If this is successful, The factory reset screen should appear. If not, retry steps 1 to 3.

Step 4: turn the controller on and select “Reset This Xbox”. (If you click continue, you will need to repeat steps 1 to 3).

Step 5: (Not Shown) select the first option if you want to keep your games and apps.

Edit:
- To move select “Reset This Xbox” you must use the D pad - the joystick doesn’t work.
- I didn’t unplug my external HD but I would recommend it.
