Full title reads: "MEN OUT OF CAGES".
Germany. General scenes of enthusiasm in Stalag XI B when POW's are released. Closer shots of groups of British prisoners of war cheering and waving. Several close up shots of the freed prisoners. Various shots of the POW's being released in Stalag 357. Various shots of the POW's of Oflag 79 (officers prison) being freed. German General Karl Veith, Commander of Brunswick Garrison is captured.

France. Various shots of the French collaborators being rounded up in Paris. French crowds hired by the Gestapo attacking allied POW's. Vichy French collaborators Lafont and Bony on trial. Lafont and Bony facing the firing squad - they die.
Germany. Several shots of huge stack of firearms, binoculars, swords etc. lying on the streets of Berlin. People are handing over all the paraphernalia of war.
Britain. Britain's Prime Minster Winston Churchill speaking in Bristol, Avon. He says: "We have the Japanese to finish. We have to stand absolutely with our great American allies and pay off at the other end of the world, debts as heavy as ever we inflicted on her and I shall have to ask you - or whoever stands in my place - and whoever it be I shall support him - we shall have to ask you whatever the matter however the matter may go we shall have to ask you for a new ...a new lead forward, a new lift of soul and body in order that this second heavy war for which we have suffered too much insults and injury, the war against Japan will also be brought without undue delay to a conclusion all together free from any doubt".
