Cut 5/8" Steel - Hypertherm Powermax45 XP Plasma System Review

The Hypertherm Powermax45 XP Plasma system will cut up to 5/8-inch mild steel, stainless, and aluminum. In addition to cutting, the Powermax45 XP will also gouge and mark.

Setting up the Hypertherm plasma cutter is so simple. Just plug it in your 240V outlet, provide compressed air supply, attach the work lead (ground), and torch lead, then you're ready to cut. Cutting is smooth and consistent.

Controlling the Hypertherm Powermax45 XP is very easy as well. You only have one dial and one button. The button offers you two options: cutting and gouging/marking. The dial allows you to choose Amps from 10 to 45. Based on your selection, the Powermax45 XP automatically adjusts the air pressure.

The Powermax45 XP has an MSRP of $2,300, but you can find them discounted to $1,900.
